Listed Devon Farmhouse 

Using a stylish materials palette we created form and function to this sloping tricky space.

To save on costs of gringing stumps, it was possible to mount a rustic table top to the top of the tree stump which could create a raised area to admire the cottage, garden and surroundings. The seats were crafted from the remaing oak timbers from the dismantled tree.

The circular landscape design provides form, function and a journey throughout. It used lines of symmetry to draw one’s attention to focal points in the plot; the cottages front door, the circular turfed area outlined by slate and granite setts or even the rustic oak seating.

Special care was made to retain as much lawn as possible & also to maintain a stylish cottage garden theme.
