Dartmoor Tree House

This time we were building an intergrated seriously good tree house and assault course.

We were able to construct a hexagon at 2m height and split half the structure into a raised access deck and half into the house. This way there wasn't a dissection of the Eucalyptus tree trunk which would have lead to an inevitable leaking roof.

The materials pallet was "high end" and included Douglas Fir cladding, Chestnut balustrade & Cedar shingle roofing.

The interior was fully insulated, clad & carpeted.

The assault course created a circular journey from a nearby path, circumnavigating stepping logs, balance beams, wobbly bridge, fireman's pole and ladder trapdoor.

How much did this cost? ~£21,500
