Serene Reflections

Some interesting features were created on this Moretonhampstead landscaping project. The clients were very conscious of the environment so we made special efforts to ensure we reduced, reused and recycled existing and bought materials.

The area was a real suntrap hence the perfect place for a nature/wildlife pond to create dramatic reflections.

Hoggin, an environmental alternative to slabs or gravel was used to surround the water feature to aid drainage for the area and reclaimed slates were used as a roofing material.

We were also asked to enhance a decked platform by replacing rotten deck boards with hardwood Balau deck boards. The reclaimed steps were created using a framework of reinforced concrete to avoid an over engineered concrete form.
